I’m exhausted. I was able to accomplish a lot today out in the garden. Have a lot of refuse to get rid of over the next couple of weeks as you have to keep the can under a certain weight. One more day and I should have everything put away for winter. My husband helped a lot today and washed all the windows inside and out as well as switch out the screens for the storm windows and gave them a clean gleam. I swear my stained-glass window has come to life.
Our big “sky chair” swing and frame was moved from the front porch and fit nicely upstairs in the sleeping porch. I moved a lot of my potted shade plants up to the sleeping porch so it is like a little greenhouse up there. Now I can swing and enjoy the plants at the same time. I often doze off in the “sky chair.” A little music, a good “audio book” (I don’t like to read) and I’m in another world.
I bought a knee brace that has allowed me to go on pretty long walks but it doesn’t help much when I’m out in the garden. I have to keep one leg almost straight so it is kind of comical to see me gardening. I think I’m going to have to make a doctor’s appointment and get it fixed or I’ll never get my house floors refinished. There is a lot of knee work involved.
Our original plan was to head up to NY state’s Allegany State Park today and see how it compares to ours. It is a fair distance but it will be gorgeous with all the leaves changing. We got a late start and decided to hold off a few days and get a full day in. I’m really looking forward to it.
I’m working on a short Halloween video. I hope to make it nice and scary. I don’t know how it will turn out but I’m gathering video to use. I’m running out of time, though. I like to send it to my nephews. They love that sort of thing.

I’d love to see a picture of your “sky chair” in your sleeping porch. It sounds so nice. Have you posted a picture of your stained glass window before? (hint!)

Yes, I have a picture of the stained glass that I made at my house website. Here is the link to that.

Hmm, that’s a long link. I hope you’ll be able to cut and paste it as I don’t know if this will automatically link by typing out the link. I’ll take a picture of the sky chair (and my plants) soon. I’m just so happy the swing fit.

Oh, and Lynne, I forgot to mention that I call this stained-glass lily picture “northern lights.” In the sky when the sun hits it at a certain time of day, northern lights streaks show up on one of the sky pieces.

Thanks, I’m not sure what day we’ll be coming (it all depends on if we get a decent day of weather soon) but I’ll give you a shout. It would be great to meet you, too.

The weather has been so perfect for finishing up the garden chores and washing windows! I need to finish my windows on the outside. It has to be hard to garden with your leg straight, wow. I hope your knee gets better soon.
