  I’ve never seen one swim “in person” and I sure hope I can witness that some day. I did swim my horse across a raging river once after a downpour that almost trapped me in the Sierras (in my younger years.) The horse is so powerful and his snorts to blow water out of their nose is quite amazing (after you get over the fear of the whole thing and think back on it.) I bet deer are much more delicate and graceful swimming than a horse.
