We pulled into the Cambridge Springs Access Area on the way back home from the Erie National Wildlife Refuge Sunday. I couldn’t believe that people would just hit golf balls into French Creek. Most of the balls were going into the creek, on purpose. At the very least, this is littering. It’s not like they were going to retrieve them. Golf balls in the creeks are trash, especially in a place where people enjoy visiting the creek. The area has become a trash can.

Is there a parks person you could report this to? I’m always amazed at how self-absorbed people can be.

That is sad and he isn’t even a good golfer.

I’m quite sure the golfer was a girl, too. But I have been wrong before. They did this in front of other people, too, as if it was a common everyday thing. I could understand if they were teenagers not knowing better but these were adults. For every person that helps clean up an area there are several numb sculls that litter. You just have to wonder why. They use the area, too.
